Common spices and herbs used in the Mediterranean include basil, bay leaf, black pepper, cloves, coriander, cumin, dill, fennel, garlic, lavender, marjoram, mint, oregano, parsley, paprika, rosemary, saffron, sage, savory, sumac, tarragon, thyme, and turmeric.
Our  Syrian Brothers Chicken Spice Blend includes several of these spices giving any food a Mediterranean touch you and your loved ones will love.
If you live in New York City or have traveled to visit, you will agree with me that one of the best adventures you can have in NYC is to try all different kinds of foods this amazing city has to offer. With more than 34.000 restaurants in NYC, there is a lot of food and flavors to try.
One of my favorite foods is Mediterranean foods, especially the NYC street foods, where you get to meet the original flavor of the food, and the vendor that is usually a native of their respective country and always kind and full of interesting stories.

We are sharing a recipe from Jenn Segal, Classically Trained Chef. We tried this recipe with our Spice blend and the results where outstanding. Follow the steps below and let us know in the comments. Just follow these ingredients below and follow Jenn's steps.

Our  Syrian Brothers Chicken Spice Blend includes all the spices needed for this recipe, so skip adding the spices mentioned in the recipe and use our Spice blend instead.


  • 1 cup plain whole milk Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Zest from one lemon
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, from one lemon
  • 1-3/4 teaspoons salt
  • Syrian Brothers Chicken Spice Blend
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2-1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs, trimmed of any excess fat and cut into large bite-sized pieces
  • 1 large red onion, cut into wedges
  • Vegetable oil, for greasing the grill
